General Description, including but not limited to: 

 

The Head of Strategy & Business Development investigates value propositions associated with product enhancements, additions or acquisitions, new product market introductions, and new market expandsions. This role defines objectives to gain market share and maximize profitability, and executes plans to make those objectives achievable. Partnering with leaders across the organization, it is thVP's responsibility to take advantage of the company's core competencies, and to recognize when strategies under consideration do not align with those competencies and therefore represent undue risk.   

 
ROLE PURPOSE: This role is responsible for creating strategic business partnerships and driving new revenue sources for the organization. 

 

STRATEGY 

  • Serve as the primary partner to the CEO and Executive Team in developing and articulating a growth solution and diversification strategy that produces $XX in new revenue annually from existing and new business 

  • Set business development targets and plans that meet or exceed Unmutedco’s growth and positioning objectives on an annual basis 

  • Build a new business pipeline that draws on and builds Unmutedco’s current and future competencies in alignment with the strategy and identifies sufficient qualified opportunities and deliver winning proposals to meet annual revenue targets 

  • Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive positioning in the market, with close interface with Unmutedco’s Program leadership 

  • Align NBD resources to complement organization-wide Client and Partnership Cultivation plan, in coordination with Executive Leadership 

  • Take a leadership role in developing relationships with specific clients and partners 

  • Ensure business intelligence from across the organization is smoothly integrated into positioning, capture and bid process 

  • Coordinate closely with the Sales & Marketing Leadership on issues of branding, external positioning, materials development, website and social media presence, and advocacy initiatives 

 

ADMINISTRATION 

  • Create developmental, performance and indicative management measurements for strategic and developmental staff 

  • Support company initiatives as collective brand and offering lead for public facing events and partnerships
