Bidding Policy
Overview
Boujee Workplace enables freelancers to connect with buyers and agencies through our structured bidding system. This policy outlines the rules and expectations for submitting bids on the platform.
Bid Requirements
- All freelancers must provide an estimate of time required (in hours, days, or weeks) along with their quote amount
- Bids should include relevant portfolio items, experience highlights, and other compelling information to strengthen your proposal
- Initial communication will not be enabled until a Buyer or Agency initiates contact after reviewing bids
- Attachments must be in PDF, JPG, or PNG format only
Bid Limitations
- Freelancers are limited to bidding on 20 jobs per day
- BoujeePro members may receive increased limits in the future
- No purchase or credit is required to place bids
Project Structure
- Boujee Workplace operates on fixed-price projects only
- There are no hourly agreement options available
- Buyers and agencies must clearly define project requirements and fully fund the project before posting
- All funds are securely held in escrow until work is completed and approved
Breaking Down Large Projects
For projects that would traditionally use hourly agreements:
- Break the project into smaller, clearly defined milestones
- Create separate projects for each phase or deliverable
- Example: Instead of "Website redesign (40 hours)," create separate projects for "Homepage redesign," "Product page redesign," etc.
- There is no additional charge for creating multiple related projects
Prohibited Activities
- Creating agreements to complete work outside the Boujee Workplace platform is strictly prohibited
- Attempts to circumvent the platform's payment system may result in account suspension or permanent ban
- All communication about project details and deliverables must remain on the platform
Escrow Policy
What is Escrow?
Escrow is a financial arrangement where a third party (Boujee Workplace) holds and regulates payment of funds on behalf of two parties in a transaction. This provides security to both the buyer and the freelancer.
How Escrow Works on Boujee Workplace
- Funding: The buyer fully funds the project before posting it
- Holding Period: Boujee Workplace securely holds the funds while work is completed
- Verification: The buyer reviews and approves the completed work
- Release: Once approved, funds are released to the freelancer
Buyer Protections
- Funds are only released when you're satisfied with the completed work
- If work is not completed according to the agreed terms, you can initiate a dispute
- Our platform mediates any disagreements about project completion or quality
Freelancer Protections
- Verification that the buyer has the necessary funds before you begin work
- Assurance that you will be paid when you deliver the agreed-upon work
- Protection from clients who might otherwise disappear after work is delivered
Escrow Timeline
- Funds remain in escrow for the duration of the project
- Automatic reminders are sent as project deadlines approach
- After work is submitted, buyers have 7 days to review and approve or request revisions
- If no action is taken within 7 days, funds may be automatically released
Dispute Resolution
- If either party believes terms have not been met, they can open a dispute
- Boujee Workplace will review all submitted materials, communications, and project terms
- Our team will make a fair determination based on the evidence provided
- Decisions made by the Boujee Workplace dispute resolution team are final
Refund Policy
Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be provided in the following circumstances:
- The freelancer fails to deliver any work by the agreed-upon deadline
- The freelancer abandons the project without notice
- The freelancer is unable to deliver the core requirements as specified in the project description
- The project requirements were misrepresented by either party
- Technical issues on Boujee Workplace prevented proper project completion
Non-Eligible Circumstances
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Subjective dissatisfaction with the quality of completed work that meets project requirements
- Changes to project requirements after the bid was accepted
- Issues that could have been resolved through revision requests
- Disagreements about interpretation when project requirements were vague
- Buyer's remorse or change of mind after project completion
Initiating a Refund Request
To request a refund:
- Navigate to the project in your dashboard
- Select "Report Issue" from the project menu
- Choose "Request Refund" as the issue type
- Provide detailed information about why you believe a refund is warranted
- Submit any relevant evidence to support your claim
Dispute Resolution Process
- When a refund is requested, the project enters dispute status
- Both parties will be notified and asked to provide their perspective
- A Boujee Workplace representative will review all submitted evidence
- A decision will be made within 5-7 business days
- If approved, the refund will be processed within 3-5 business days to the original payment method
Partial Refunds
In some cases, Boujee Workplace may determine that a partial refund is appropriate:
- When some deliverables were completed satisfactorily while others were not
- When the freelancer performed substantial work but failed to meet critical requirements
- When both parties share responsibility for project issues
Appeal Process
If you disagree with the dispute resolution outcome, you may appeal the decision:
- Submit an appeal request within 3 business days of the decision
- Provide any new evidence not previously considered
- A senior member of our team will review the appeal
- Appeal decisions are final and binding
Boujee Workplace reserves the right to modify these policies at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email and on the platform. By using Boujee Workplace, you agree to abide by these policies.
